About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Receiving Officer to join our Purchasing team based at Sydney Airport.
Reporting to the Manager, Purchasing, you will be responsible for the accurate receipting, verification, and processing of incoming deliveries, ensuring inventory is recorded correctly and supports daily operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and documentation
- Accurately receipt goods into the ERP system within required timeframes
- Record and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery and invoicing issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support stock counts, audits, and monthly processesCoordinate timely distribution of goods to internal teams
What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
- Experience in receiving, purchasing, or inventory control
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Exposure to airline catering or logistics (desirable)
